Many picture evil as dark, loud, and easy to spot. However, Satan isn’t always most effective in obvious darkness, but rather in counterfeit light — something that looks real enough to fool you: half-truths, self-righteousness, compassion without holiness, "freedom" that's bondage to sin, and spirituality apart from Christ.
