Levi Matteson - September 30, 2018

The Council

Unstoppable Wave

It's ingrained in the human psyche to think that God, or the gods in the case of the pagan Gentiles, are angry and something must be done to appease them. The Greeks had temples where they made sacrifices, and the Jews kept the law, so when they were all together worshiping in the early church, it was natural to think there was something more to the Gospel. Pastor Levi Matteson preaches from Acts 15 about the time when the issue of circumcision of new believers came before The Council. This is a podcast of Evangel Church, Houghton Michigan, Sunday, September 30, 2018.

Scripture References: Acts 15:1-41

From Series: "Unstoppable Wave"

Good news travels quickly. In the book of Acts, Jesus’ disciples gathered and set a wave of hope that has continued to gain momentum for centuries. His message is unstoppable. And believe it or not, there are parts of this earth that still haven’t heard the Good News. But He’ll continue using His people to build His Church until everyone who seeks hope is washed over by the Unstoppable Wave of the Gospel.
