Embrace the Pain

Godcast

When things go awry, we often ask, "Why God?"

Levi Matteson continues our sermon series, The Godcast with Habakkuk, by going back to the first chapter were Habakkuk asks, "O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear?" In response, God gives Habakkuk a dreadful message — things are going to get worse. Sometimes pain is unavoidable, but we just need to go through it and trust God in the process. "The righteous will live by faith."

This is a podcast episode of Evangel Community Church, Houghton, Michigan, July 19, 2020.

Scripture References: Habakkuk 1:1-12

From Series: "Godcast"

What if Evangel's own podcast, Pearls & Swine, hosted God to speak on current events? What questions would come to the surface? Our conversation would probably revolve around government corruption, moral decline, injustice, and political shenanigans.

In this series, we'll review the transcript between God and Habakkuk. There are answers for a time like this!

A Frustrating Culture

Godcast

Are you frustrated with the culture today? Habakkuk was frustrated with the culture of his day, and he had some poignant questions for God.

Levi Matteson kicks off a new series, The Godcast with Habakkuk, where he reviews the transcript of an ancient podcast, of sorts. There are answers for a time like this! "Faith is not a way to make everything okay. It's a way for you to be okay, even when everything is not okay."
