Make Love Last: The Expectation Trap

Make Love Last: The Expectation Trap

The gap between reality and expectations is called disappointment. Inevitably, one or both spouse at some point in a marriage will be greatly disappointed. What's the solution? To set low expectations? That's the approach taken by Buddhists. We could set realistic expectations, but is that modeled in Scripture? After all, God is a God of high expectations. Continuing in the series Make Love Last, Mr. Todd Neva talks about The Expectation Trap, our expectation to be disappointed which causes us to act badly ourselves. He challenges us to move from expectation based on entitlement to hope based on our love for God and others. Scripture text is Proverbs 10:28. This is a podcast of Evangel Church, Houghton, Michigan, on March 6, 2016.

Scripture References: Proverbs 10:28
