Levi Matteson - April 26, 2020

Part 2: Bible

Quarantine Workout

You don't need to read a lot, but you do need to read the right things. The Bible is a great book — 66 books, in fact — that tells us a lot about human nature, which hasn't changed in spite of our new technology. However, learning practical life lessons is not the primary reason for reading the Bible. We read the Bible to know God.

Pastor Levi Matteson continues with our Quarantine Workout, addressing three excuses people have for not exercise their spiritual core.

This is a podcast from the parking lot of Evangel Community Church, Houghton, Michigan, April 26, 2020.

From Series: "Quarantine Workout"

We see workout ads all over the Internet. These workouts can keep us physically healthy during the quarantine. But what are we doing to workout our spiritual core?

The Bible talks about spiritual disciplines that strengthen our faith and keep your relationship with God healthy. Knowing God isn’t about hopping from one religious exercise fad to the next, but rather it’s about connecting with him in an ongoing, dynamic way.

Join our discussion on connecting with God and building spiritual strength via the fundamental, three-part workout routine of Bible-reading, prayer, and community.
